We’ve talked about the End Times here, before. The strange events of the last couple of years have made “the End Times” a hot topic with many, and rightly so. In referring to these days, Jesus said, “And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.” (Luke 17:26) Something to note, is that in the verses that follow, He also refers to how “They did eat, they drank, they married wives…”
From all of this, one might have a couple of good questions: 1) If men have been eating, drinking and marrying in ALL ages, what was so different about the days of Noah? and 2) Is the word “they” intended in the same general context as we normally use it …or were “they” a certain part of the populace? –The answers to the questions might tell us how close we are to (or in) the End Times, and God’s righteous indignation with the world. And we know that IS coming because although God promised in His covenant with Noah that never again “shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth” (Genesis 9:11), God has foretold that “the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up.” (Malachi 4:1)
This could be a really long sermon, and many more have done much more detailed and scholarly works about the subject, but the answers to the questions we raised are basically in two verses of the Book of Genesis, both describing the time of Noah:
In Genesis 6:4…
“There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.” (Note in this passage, that the “giants” –these perverted offspring– existed in that time “and also after that”. Meaning that the flood stopped the runaway infestation, but it wouldn’t be the only time it would happen.)
In Genesis 6:9, we are given a very interesting description of Noah: “These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.” …So, “the generations” –the genealogy– shall I hit it ‘on the nose’? –the genetic composition of Noah was perfect…pure. More simply stated: he didn’t have “Giant’s blood”.
There is another significance to this idea, when related to the actual Hebrew word translated as “giants” in Genesis 6:4. The Hebrew name is “The Nephilim”, and it appears only again in Numbers 13:33 when referring to the “sons of Anok” and how everyone else felt as grasshoppers in comparison of size. So, although most Bible scholars translate a couple of different words both as “giants”, there was actually a proper name of “The Nephilim” given to these mutated, perverted breed between the “sons of God” and humans. Further, we can infer that these Nephilim are the ones mentioned in Jude 1:6 as “the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation,” for whom God would reserve punishment in chains of darkness.
Most mainstream churches avoid dwelling upon anything other than the inspiring story of David and Goliath (which happened long AFTER the Great Flood and the days of Noah), but the Bible references “giants” in 19 different verses of the Old Testament, across 12 distinct Chapters, and 7 different Books. From Genesis to Job, the references to “giants” were never figurative.*
…So, bringing us back to today: There are no “giants” here today. No Goliath roaming around to try our slingshot skills with. –Nothing to worry about, right? …Ah, but there is that little matter of the “strange medicine” of today: The “Warp Speed” of its delivery. The complete absence of an ingredients list, if you request it. The demand from nearly every corner to take it.
Some have resisted, valiantly. Nevertheless, now that the genie is out of the bottle, how long before every part of the world that has deliberately ‘kept away’ from it, will also succumb to it in ways unexpected? –Through the natural course of society, we will “eat, drink, and marry wives”, and if we are not careful and selective, even those of us who have stood apart, will have some of this “thing” in us. –Am I claiming that the “thing” IS “Nephilim seed”? No. Not that it wouldn’t be possible, for how would we really know? But, in the days recorded in the Bible, it doesn’t seem that “technology” was required for the Nephilim to mate.
Nonetheless, it is the horrific start of a massive, cascading genetic corruption of our bloodlines. And God said in 1 Corinthians 3:16-17.. “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? [17] If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.”
Stay strong and keep the Temple holy, brothers and sisters. In Jesus’ name, amen.
*Examples:

(That also was accounted a land of giants: giants dwelt therein in old time; and the Ammonites call them Zamzummims;
Joshua 12:4 KJV
And the coast of Og king of Bashan, which was of the remnant of the giants, that dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei,
